OCTC had two portable buildings which already had significant years of use and wear at the time of their acquisition, circa 1990. The portables were intended as a stop-gap measure to house expanded OCTC clinical operations, in the face of organizational growth in both mandate and staffing. The portables were utilized to house both client treatment and assessment rooms, and staff workstation areas for more than two and a half decades before being decommissioned.

The much needed new space will be a single story, slab on grade, pre-engineered steel shell structure of approximately 8,650 sq. ft. of which 4,400 sq.ft. will be OCTC space, 2,800 sq.ft. will be fit-up as offices for CHEO, and 1,450 sq. ft, will be for circulation. This project is currently under construction.
