A registered architect in Canada and the United States, Andrea has more than 28 years of international experience and is drawn to complex institutional and healthcare projects that require a gentle approach and a vision.
Andrea is an award-winning architect, earning international recognition for her creative and thoughtful design approach. With considerable experience working in highly specialized areas, Andrea has designed complex projects and managed every aspect of their delivery, from project budgets to onsite supervision. Andrea’s experience and unique expertise have helped her to hone her craft, perfect her method, and provide her clients with an invaluable breadth of knowledge and understanding.

Sofia Vega, Intern Architect, is a dedicated professional with a passion for collaborative leadership and a mission to improve lives through architecture. With years of experience in business operations and design, she combines her deep operational intellect and design expertise to elevate Arbaum’s architectural offerings.
Working under the guidance of Andrea Buchsbaum, Arbaum Architect’s Principal, Sofia helps lead the architecture and engineering teams toward the integration of the client's vision, budget, and needs. She has earned a reputation as a skilled and reliable partner in the world of architecture, having begun her career as a construction supervisor in Mexico where she became a registered architect. As Sofia works toward her Architectural License in Ontario, she represents her clients’ architectural designs from design through to construction.
A highly skilled architectural professional, Mojtaba’s enjoyment for collaboration and the design of healthcare facilities is recognizable in every project he works on. Under the mentorship of Andrea Buchsbaum, Arbaum Architect’s Principal, Mojtaba combines his experience in healthcare design, residential development, and business operations to offer the utmost in service to Arbaum clients. As the team’s contract administrator, he collaborates with the team, owner, and designers to meld the aesthetic of architecture with the engineering elements of every project.
As one who takes pride in his ability to create compelling designs that are aesthetically pleasing and functional, Mojtaba ensures design intent remains throughout projects – from inception to completion. With an impressive background that includes a Bachelor of Architecture earned in Iran and two master’s degrees in architecture, he is currently working on obtaining his Architectural License in Ontario.
With more than a decade of experience in carrying out conservation, renovation, and new construction projects, Mariana is a seasoned professional in the field of architecture and design. Her expertise extends throughout Brazil, Spain, and Italy, where she has collaborated with diverse teams to deliver exceptional results on architectural projects.
Her devotion to innovative solutions has driven her to constantly seek new ideas and approaches that improve the overall design quality of spaces. She strongly believes that a well-designed space can contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and communities.
As a highly motivated Project Manager, Mariana takes pride in delivering projects that exceed client expectations. Her expertise in conservation, renovation, and new construction projects, coupled with a commitment to excellence, makes her a valuable asset to the Arbaum team.
